Pikes Peak is the most-visited mountain in North America and one of the most visited mountains in the world.
And and the mountain is only 6 miles from downtown Colorado Springs (or 70 miles from Denver).
Amongst the Events and Activities you can enjoy at Pikes Peak:

• Pikes Peak Hill Climb - also named "Race to the clouds" is one of the biggest events of this type in the country!
• Hiking at Pikes Peak - (Overlook Trail,Elk Park Trail or the challenging Barr Trail )
• Biking at Pikes Peak - while bicycles are not allowed on the Pikes Peak Highway, you can find some mountain bikes at the North and South Catamount Reservoir parking lots
• Fishing at Pikes Peak - allowed from May to September-don't forget your valid Fishing License
• Pikes Peak Marathon - every August, some of the top world runners start the 26-miles long race (Manitou Springs is the start point)
